PESHAWAR: The National Junior Games Karate Championship commenced with a grand opening ceremony at the Peshawar Sports Complex, bringing together talented young athletes from across the country.
The three-day championship was officially inaugurated in the presence of prominent sports officials and representatives of various sports associations. Among those present were Karate Federation Chief Executive Andleeb Sindhu, Chairman Muhammad Jahangir, KP Judo Coordinator Shah Faisal, Administrator Peshawar Sports Complex Yousaf Afridi, and General Secretary of the Badminton Association Mian Sadaqat Shah.
Teams from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Punjab, Sindh, Balochistan, Gilgit-Baltistan, Kashmir, and the Higher Education Commission are participating in the championship, showcasing the country’s emerging karate talent.
The event aims to provide young athletes with a competitive platform to demonstrate their skills, gain valuable experience, and promote sportsmanship and healthy competition among youth.
Organizers expressed confidence that the championship will play a significant role in identifying and nurturing future karate stars while strengthening the development of martial arts at the grassroots level across Pakistan.
