PESHAWAR: The competition of the right to fight for the Independence Day Inter-Clubs Tug of War has come to an end. In the final, Government College Club defeated Nagman Club by two to one and won the trophy. The special guest, Principal Government College Peshawar Nader Khan, distributed prizes to the winning players. Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Tug of War Association President Syed Asghar Ali Shah, Chairman Taj Muhammad Khan, DPE Zafar Iqbal, Chief Proctor Arif Hussain, Secretary Ijaz Muhammad Durrani were also present. Like every year, this year also, the inter-clubs tug of war competition was held at the Government College Peshawar Ground under the auspices of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Tug of War Association in connection with the Independence Day of Pakistan, in which registered clubs of Peshawar district participated. The final of which was played between GC Club Peshawar and Nagman Club, in which GC Club won by two to one. The duties of the chief referee in the match were performed by Taj Muhammad Khan and the duties of the technical officials were performed by Uzair Muhammad, Muhammad Umar, Atiq-ur-Rehman and Muhammad Aslam. On this occasion, the provincial president paid tribute to the DG Sports and the Sports Department, due to which the sports grounds are populated.
