ISLAMABAD: The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has resumed issuing visit visas to Pakistani citizens applying through registered travel agents, easing months of uncertainty for travelers.
Travel industry representatives said visa processing has improved significantly, particularly for families and those visiting relatives in the UAE. Officials noted that applications with complete documentation are now being processed more smoothly.
The UAE, home to around 1.8 million Pakistanis, remains a major destination for tourism, employment and family visits. Travel agents have welcomed the development, saying passenger traffic is gradually recovering after a prolonged slowdown.
Officials said earlier delays were linked to stricter security checks and documentation requirements, but eligible applicants can now apply through registered travel agencies without major difficulty.
