Prof. Dr. Ahmad-ur-Rehman Saljuqi Reviews Upgrades; Praises Govt. for Supporting Sports Infrastructure

PESHAWAR: Vice Chancellor of Islamia College Peshawar, Prof. Dr. Ahmad-ur-Rehman Saljuqi, visited the university’s cricket ground to inspect the ongoing development work, including the construction of new pitches and a living walk track.

During the visit, Director Sports Ali Hoti briefed the Vice Chancellor on the progress and scope of the upgrades. He highlighted that the enhancements are part of the institution’s continued efforts to improve sports facilities and maintain its legacy in producing national-level athletes.

Prof. Dr. Saljuqi expressed his gratitude to Chief Minister Amin Gandapur, the Provincial Sports Secretary, DG Sports, and the P&D Sports Department Directorate for their support in promoting university-level sports.

“Islamia College has a proud history in sports. These improvements will help nurture the next generation of champions,” he said.

Ali Hoti, while addressing the media, shared that the college continues to produce promising players every year. Notably, Atta Allah was selected for national-level athletics, and Imad Khalil represented Pakistan in badminton competitions held in Bhutan.
