ISLAMABAD:The Wafaqi Mohtasib resolved a record 261,101 public complaints against government agencies in 2025, compared with 223,198 in the previous year. According to its annual report, 96.8% of decisions were implemented, while around 88% of complaints were resolved within the statutory 60-day period.

Wafaqi Mohtasib Naveed Kamran Baloch called on President Asif Ali Zardari at Aiwan-e-Sadr and presented the institution’s Annual Report for 2025. He briefed the President on the institution’s performance and initiatives to improve public access to administrative justice and ensure timely resolution of complaints.

The report highlighted the expansion of the institution’s presence to 28 cities and the establishment of One Window Facilitation Desks at international airports to facilitate overseas Pakistanis.

President Asif Ali Zardari commended the institution’s services and stressed the need to raise public awareness about its activities, particularly its efforts to resolve complaints promptly, enabling more citizens to benefit from its services.

The report identifies the growing number of resolved complaints and the high implementation rate of decisions as key performance indicators. Continued efforts to ensure timely decisions and their effective implementation remain essential to addressing public grievances and strengthening citizens’ confidence in the public administration system.
