PESHAWAR: The Waziristan Azmaree Taekwondo Team delivered an impressive performance while representing Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) at the 18th Korean Ambassador National Taekwondo Championship 2025, earning widespread appreciation for their discipline, skill, and determination.
The championship, one of the most prestigious taekwondo events in the country, featured talented athletes from across Pakistan. Competing in the Under-17, Under-14, and Cadet categories, the Waziristan Azmaree Taekwondo Team showcased exceptional talent and competitive spirit, securing a total of nine medals, including three Gold 🥇 and six Silver 🥈 medals. This remarkable achievement highlights the growing standard of martial arts training and youth sports development in the region.

The success of the team is a result of months of rigorous training, dedication, and teamwork. The athletes demonstrated outstanding technical skills, physical endurance, and sportsmanship throughout the competition, earning respect from officials, coaches, and fellow competitors alike.
Special recognition was given to Head Coach Dr. Muhammad Farooq for his visionary leadership and professional training methods. Appreciation was also extended to Team Manager and Coach Mr. Muhammad Talha for his effective coordination and mentoring role. The contribution of Assistant Coaches Mr. Muhammad Zubair and Mr. Ahmed Yar Mehsud was equally significant, as they played a vital role in preparing the athletes both physically and mentally for the championship.

Team officials stated that this achievement would not have been possible without the collective efforts of the coaching staff, management, athletes, and supporters who stood by the team throughout their journey. They emphasized that such successes serve as motivation for young players from Waziristan and other underdeveloped areas to pursue sports and represent Pakistan at national and international levels.
The outstanding performance of the Waziristan Azmaree Taekwondo Team has brought pride to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Pakistan, and reflects the positive impact of sports in promoting discipline, confidence, and unity among the youth.
