RAWALPINDI: H.E. Harerimana Fatou, Rwanda’s High Commissioner, visited the Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI) to celebrate International Women’s Day, where she engaged with women members of the chamber.

She appreciated the government’s efforts in women empowerment and stressed the importance of collaboration among governments, embassies, NGOs, and other stakeholders to promote gender equality.

Highlighting Rwanda’s achievements, she shared that the country ranks among the top globally for women’s representation in parliament. She also acknowledged both the progress made and the challenges that persist, urging collective action for the rights and empowerment of women and girls.

The envoy further credited the leadership of President Paul Kagame for advancing gender equality initiatives in Rwanda.
