ISLAMABAD : A Khyber Pakhtunkhwa police constable injured in a terrorist attack refused to lose courage. Despite bleeding from his wounds, his morale remained high and he appeared ready to confront the terrorists.

The incident took place in DI Khan’s Kalachi tehsil, where a police constable was injured during an alleged terrorist attack on the vehicle of the DSP Kalachi.

A photograph shows the wounded constable bleeding, yet his expression reflects remarkable courage, determination and resolve. The scene raises an important question: Should such brave police personnel not be considered for the Tamgha-e-Shujaat, one of the country’s prestigious national awards?

The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police has remained on the frontline in the fight against terrorism for decades. Numerous officers and personnel have sacrificed their lives, while many others have continued performing their duties despite sustaining serious injuries.

Such acts of courage and sacrifice deserve national recognition. The names of these brave policemen should also be considered for national awards in recognition of their exceptional courage and service to the nation.
