PAF Academy Players Dominate KP Junior Squash Finals

PESHAWAR: Young talents from PAF Academy Peshawar, Abdullah Riaz, Anas Rafay, and Ayan Mahboob emerged victorious in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Junior Squash Championship, claiming top honors in their respective age categories.

The final matches of the championship were held yesterday in a vibrant atmosphere that drew top sports personalities and supporters from across the province. The event’s chief guest was Dawood Khan, President of the Provincial Squash Association and Secretary of the Public Health and Engineering Department, who distributed trophies and prizes among the winners.

Also present were squash legend and Chairman of the Provincial Squash Association Qamar Zaman, Vice President Ehsanullah Khan, Director of Academy PSF Irfan Asghar, Minister Muhammad, Senior Coach and Chief Organizer Munawar Zaman, and former national champion and coach Atlas Khan, along with other notable figures.

In the Under-9 final, Abdullah Riaz put on a spectacular display of skill and determination, defeating Isa Rafay with a scoreline of 11-9, 11-4, 3-11, 11-5.

In the Under-11 category, Anas Rafay of PAF Academy Peshawar dominated Atif Ali Naz, winning in straight sets: 11-5, 11-5.

The Under-13 final saw a thrilling match between Ayan Mahboob and Ayan Khalid, where Ayan Mahboob secured the championship with a 3-1 victory (11-3, 11-7, 9-11, 11-4).

The event concluded with the distribution of medals, trophies, and certificates to the participants, celebrating a new generation of squash champions from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
