BAJAUR: A Youth Skills Development Training Programme aimed at equipping young people with modern skills and creating new employment opportunities was organized by the District Administration and District Youth Office Bajaur. A certificate distribution ceremony for trainees who completed courses in e-commerce and mobile phone repairing was held at the Civil Colony Khar.
Deputy Commissioner Bajaur Adnan Fareed was the chief guest at the ceremony. Additional Deputy Commissioner Bajaur Shahid Rafiq Gandapur, District Youth Officer Fawad Ahmad and Shahid Ali, along with other relevant officials, were also present.
Speaking on the occasion, Deputy Commissioner Adnan Fareed urged the youth to make full use of such training programmes and utilize the skills they had acquired to create employment and self-employment opportunities for themselves. He also distributed certificates among the successful trainees.
The programme aims to equip the youth of Bajaur with skills in line with modern-day requirements and enable them to explore new avenues of employment. The training covered e-commerce, online business and digital marketplaces, as well as mobile phone repairing, a practical skill with demand in the local market.
During the ceremony, the trained youth also shared their experiences and success stories. Speakers emphasized that modern technical and digital skills can help young people move beyond dependence on limited employment opportunities and explore self-employment and entrepreneurship.
The initiative to provide young people in Bajaur with training in e-commerce, mobile phone repairing and other modern skills was described as an important step towards promoting employment opportunities at the local level. Participants also stressed the need to continue such training programmes in additional fields according to the requirements of the market.
