PESHAWAR: The Excise and Taxation Department has intensified its campaign against property tax defaulters, sealing several commercial units and branded outlets on University Road and in Hayatabad Industrial Estate Phase-II.
The action was carried out on the directives of ETO-III Zahid Iqbal Khan after repeated notices to defaulters went unanswered. The operation was led by Inspectors Shakirullah Khan and Riaz Khan, along with officials of the Excise and Taxation Department.
Officials said the crackdown against tax defaulters will continue without discrimination, emphasizing that timely payment of property tax is essential for government revenue collection. Zahid Iqbal Khan warned that strict legal action, including the sealing of additional properties, will be taken against those who fail to clear outstanding dues.
