COLOMBIA: In a significant move aimed at strengthening international collaboration in squash, Wajiullah Nasim, a certified US Level 3 Coach, has been appointed as Associate Advisor to Colombia’s National Squash Coach, Martin Knight.

Knight, a former World No. 40 and seasoned international professional, has led Colombia’s national squash program for the past nine years. Under his guidance, Colombian squash has achieved consistent progress and delivered competitive performances on the international circuit.

The appointment follows Knight’s recent visit to the United States, where he worked closely with Nasim in training and mentoring Colombian players preparing for competitive assignments. During this period, Nasim contributed extensively to technical development, high-performance conditioning modules, and match-strategy planning.

Impressed by Nasim’s structured coaching methodology and in-depth understanding of modern squash systems, Knight formally named him Associate Advisor. In this expanded role, Nasim will provide strategic input, assist in refining elite training frameworks, and support the long-term development pathway of Colombia’s national-level players.

The development reflects a growing trend of cross-border technical cooperation in squash and underscores Nasim’s rising profile as a high-performance coach. His involvement is expected to further consolidate Colombia’s training architecture and enhance its competitiveness at global tournaments.

This partnership marks a forward-looking chapter for both professionals, highlighting the importance of international knowledge exchange in elevating performance standards within the sport.
