CHAKDARA: Speakers at a meeting held at Chakdara Press Club stressed that ensuring the safety and protection of journalists is the government’s responsibility. The gathering, attended by political leaders, social figures, and members of the media, strongly condemned the alleged mistreatment of journalist Muhammad Israr and called for immediate action against those responsible.
Participants emphasized that attacks on one journalist are attacks on the entire media community and urged authorities to conduct a transparent investigation. They reaffirmed solidarity with journalists and vowed to raise their voices for justice, peace, and rule of law in the region.
