PESHAWAR: Young leaders from across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa completed a 3-day youth-led mental health and psycho-social training program, “Resilient Together”, held from 6-8 June 2026 at the Baragali Summer Camp, University of Peshawar.

The residential program was organized jointly by the Department of History, University of Peshawar, Directorate of Youth Affairs, Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and the National Institute of Pakistan Studies, Quaid-i-Azam University.

Under the theme “Together we learn. Together we heal. Together we lead,” participants engaged in workshops, group discussions, and practical sessions focused on mental health awareness, peer support, and community resilience. The training was designed and facilitated by youth for youth to reduce stigma and build local capacity for mental well-being.

The Chairman, Department of History, University of Peshawar, said: “Investing in youth-led mental health initiatives is investing in the future of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. This program empowers young people to become agents of healing and change in their own communities.”

The Director, NIPS-QAU, noted: “The Baragali setting created space for reflection and learning. We expect these young leaders to take the spirit of ‘Resilient Together’ back to their districts.”

The Directorate of Youth Affairs, KP, reaffirmed its commitment to expanding access to mental health education and leadership training for youth through such partnerships.
