PESHAWAR: The first Shams-ul-Qamar PSA Satellite International Squash Tournament 2026 has started at the Qamar Zaman Squash Complex, Qayyum Stadium, Peshawar.
Former world squash champion Qamar Zaman inaugurated the event. Squash legend Mohibullah Khan, Group Captain Irfan Asghar, Pakistan Squash Federation Academy Director, KP Squash Association officials, hockey Olympian Rauf Khan, coaches, players and squash officials attended the opening ceremony.
In the opening match, Saeed Abdul defeated Shahab Khan 3-1. Saeed won the games 11-3, 11-7, 11-7 and 11-3.
The tournament is being organised by the KP Squash Association with the support of Haji Shams-ul-Qamar Foundation. Organisers said the international event will provide young Pakistani players an opportunity to showcase their talent and improve their world rankings.
