SHANGLA: Federal Minister for Kashmir Affairs, Gilgit-Baltistan and SAFRON, Engineer Amir Muqam, has reaffirmed the Federal Government’s commitment to the development of Shangla, stating that resolving public issues and accelerating development projects in the district remain among the government’s top priorities.

Speaking to various delegations from Upper Shangla at his residence in Malam Jabba, Amir Muqam said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, the Federal Government is taking practical steps to improve infrastructure, enhance public services and uplift underdeveloped areas across the country.

The visiting delegations raised several issues relating to road infrastructure, basic public facilities and other development needs of the district. The Federal Minister assured them that all genuine public concerns would be addressed on a priority basis and that every effort would be made to ensure the timely completion of development schemes.

Amir Muqam described Shangla as one of Pakistan’s most scenic districts, blessed with immense tourism potential and abundant natural resources. However, he noted that the district still requires significant improvements in road connectivity, infrastructure and essential services to fully realize its economic and tourism potential.

He emphasized that the Federal Government remains focused on promoting balanced regional development, strengthening national stability and improving the quality of life of the people. He expressed confidence that, through coordinated efforts and continued investment, the pace of development in Shangla and other underserved regions would continue to accelerate in the coming years.

The Federal Minister reiterated that public welfare would remain at the center of the government’s development agenda and assured residents that their concerns would receive prompt attention.
