PARIS: The Embassy of Pakistan in Paris hosted a special ceremony in honour of French archaeologist Dr. Aurore Didier on receiving Pakistan’s civil award, Tamgha-i-Pakistan, in recognition of her outstanding contributions to archaeology and promotion of cultural cooperation between Pakistan and France.
Pakistan’s Ambassador to France Mumtaz Zahra Baloch conferred the award on behalf of the President of Pakistan during a ceremony attended by diplomats, French scholars and archaeologists, representatives of cultural institutions, media persons, and friends of Pakistan.
Speaking on the occasion, Ambassador Mumtaz Zahra Baloch congratulated Dr. Didier and praised her valuable services for the preservation and promotion of Pakistan’s archaeological heritage, particularly the Indus Valley Civilization. She highlighted the longstanding cooperation between Pakistan and France in archaeology and appreciated the role of French experts in strengthening bilateral cultural and academic ties.

Dr. Aurore Didier thanked the Government of Pakistan for the honour and reaffirmed her commitment to continued collaboration with Pakistani institutions and researchers. She said Pakistan’s archaeological heritage holds a unique place in world civilization and stressed the need for joint efforts for its preservation and international promotion.
The ceremony concluded with a reception hosted in honour of Dr. Aurore Didier.
