ISLAMABAD: Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Faisal Karim Kundi, called on Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari here on Friday to discuss the political and security situation in the province.

During the meeting, the Governor briefed the PPP chairman on recent interactions with members of allied political parties held at the Governor House.

The two leaders also discussed the current political landscape in the provincial assembly following the allocation of reserved seats.

A key focus of the meeting was the deteriorating law and order situation, particularly in the southern districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Governor Kundi updated Chairman Bilawal on the rising security concerns in these areas.

The Governor also provided a detailed briefing on the recent tragedy in Swat, where flash floods claimed several lives.

He criticized the provincial government’s inadequate response to the crisis and informed Bilawal Bhutto that, on his instructions, he had visited the affected areas in Daska and Rustam, Mardan to meet with the victims’ families.

Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari expressed concern over the situation and reiterated the need for urgent action to address the humanitarian and security challenges in the province.
