Austrian Envoy Lauds KP’s Hospitality at Islamabad Luncheon

ISLAMABAD: Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Faisal Karim Kundi has reaffirmed his commitment to promoting a soft image of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in the international diplomatic community, with a focus on investment, tourism, youth education, and job creation.
He shared these remarks while speaking as the special guest at a farewell luncheon hosted in honor of outgoing Austrian Ambassador to Pakistan Andrea Wicke. The event was organized by Qaiser Nawab and Sardar Waqar Shahzad, and attended by a distinguished group of foreign diplomats, senior journalists, and civil society members.
Governor Kundi emphasized that the security forces are actively working to maintain peace in the province, enabling the promotion of religious and cultural tourism. He highlighted that the Governor House is open to all, and the provincial administration is working to connect local businesses with international markets to foster economic prosperity.
Outgoing Ambassador Andrea Wicke expressed her deep appreciation for the hospitality and cultural richness she experienced across Pakistan, especially in Peshawar, which she described as a memorable visit.
Among the notable attendees were Ambassador of Japan to Pakistan Wada Mitsuhiro, Ambassador of the Philippines Dr. Emmanuel R. Fernandez, Ambassador of Palestine Dr. Zaheer Zaid, diplomats from the U.S. Embassy, former ministers, and senior members of the media.
