Academic Delegation Visits Pakistan Embassy in US

WASHINGTON: A delegation of students from the University of Hartford, Connecticut, visited the Embassy of Pakistan in Washington as part of their academic visit focused on peace and inclusion.
The delegation comprised students enrolled in the university’s Master’s programme in International Peacebuilding. The international group included students from Albania, Kenya, Indonesia, Lebanon and the United States.
During the visit, the students learned about peacebuilding, religious scholarship, education, interfaith dialogue and conflict resolution. The visit provided an opportunity to exchange views on promoting mutual understanding, social inclusion and peaceful coexistence among diverse communities.
The University of Hartford is engaged in academic initiatives aimed at promoting dialogue, peace, education and conflict resolution. Its International Peacebuilding programme provides students with opportunities to learn through dialogue, interaction and engagement with different perspectives.
The visit to the Pakistani Embassy was part of the students’ broader efforts to understand international approaches to peacebuilding and inclusion.
