PESHAWAR :
For the first time in the history of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Islamia Law College Peshawar, a private educational institution, organized a formal convocation in which 200 law graduates were awarded LLB degrees.
The chief guest of the ceremony was Vice Chancellor of the University of Peshawar, Dr. Johar, while the Director of Islamia Law College, Irfanullah Shinwari, also attended the event. A large number of participants including Additional Registrar of the University of Peshawar Akhtar Amin, Deputy Registrar Abdullah, Dean Faculty of Social Sciences Dr. Anwar Alam, Principal of Islamia Law College Riyaz Aziz, lawyers, students, and their parents were present on the occasion.
Addressing the ceremony, Director Irfanullah Shinwari said that it was a matter of pride for the institution that, for the first time in the province’s history, a private law college had held a formal convocation. He stated that Islamia Law College has been providing education in the field of law since 1990 and has awarded degrees to thousands of students during this period, many of whom are serving in various high-ranking positions in the country.
He further said that the institution not only focuses on quality education but also provides students opportunities to participate in moot court and other positive academic activities so they can perform better in practical fields.
Vice Chancellor Dr. Johar distributed degrees among 200 graduates, while five outstanding graduates — Muhammad Hasnain, Khizaran, Minal Irfan, Sadaf Zeeb, and Fatima Malik — were awarded gold medals. He congratulated the college administration on the successful organization of the convocation and said that young people should choose their fields according to their abilities and contribute to the country’s development and prosperity.
At the end of the ceremony, the Vice Chancellor was also presented with an honorary shield by Director Irfanullah Shinwari.
