PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa players delivered a dominant performance in the All Pakistan National Junior Squash Championship 2026, winning both the men’s and women’s titles at the event organized by the Directorate General of Sports Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

In the women’s final, Sehrish Ali defeated Mah Noor Ali in a thrilling 3-2 contest to lift the championship trophy. In the men’s final, Danish Sikandar overcame Muhammad Fawad Khan in an all-KP showdown to claim the national junior title.

The closing ceremony was attended by Adviser to the Chief Minister on Sports and Youth Affairs, Taj Muhammad Khan Tarand, who distributed prizes among the winners. Other notable attendees included former squash star Mohibullah Khan, Director Operations Jamshed Baloch, Deputy Director Kashif Farhan, Assistant Director Ashfaq Ahmad, Senior Coach and Organizing Secretary Manawar Zaman, Wazir Khan, and Administrator Yousaf Afridi.

Addressing the ceremony, Taj Muhammad Khan Tarand praised the outstanding performance of KP players, stating that the province has long been a stronghold of squash talent and continues to produce athletes capable of bringing glory to Pakistan at national and international levels.

To encourage young athletes, he announced cash awards of Rs100,000 each for the champions and Rs50,000 each for the runners-up. The announcement was warmly welcomed by players, officials, and spectators.
