PESHAWAR : The Excise and Taxation Officer (ETO) Peshawar-VI has achieved a significant milestone in property tax collection by recovering Rs67 million in September 2026, exceeding the monthly target of Rs50 million by Rs17 million.

The performance was reviewed at a meeting held to assess the first-quarter performance of ETO Peshawar-VI. The meeting examined property tax recovery and other departmental matters, with officials highlighting the office’s exceptional performance during September.

Briefing the meeting, the ETO Peshawar-VI said that a target of Rs50 million had been fixed for September under the Urban Immovable Property Tax (UIPT) head. Against the target, the office collected Rs67 million, achieving an additional recovery of Rs17 million.

The recovery represented approximately 134 per cent of the assigned monthly target, reflecting intensified recovery efforts and the effective performance of the field and office teams.

The Director Peshawar Region appreciated the performance of the ETO Peshawar-VI and his entire team, particularly the recovery achieved above the assigned target. He commended the officers and officials for their efforts and directed them to maintain the momentum and further improve revenue collection.

The meeting also decided to accelerate efforts for the recovery of property tax and other government revenues and to ensure that future targets are met through effective monitoring and sustained recovery measures.

The September performance, with Rs17 million recovered above the assigned target, marks a notable improvement in property tax collection and provides further impetus to the Excise Department’s revenue mobilisation efforts.
