PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has secured hosting rights for Judo and Volleyball at the 14th South Asian Games 2027, with both competitions scheduled to be held at Qayyum Sports Complex, Peshawar.
The Pakistan Olympic Association has included Peshawar among the host cities for the Games following calls from provincial sports stakeholders for KP to be given an opportunity to showcase its sports infrastructure and talented athletes.
Advisor to the KP Chief Minister on Sports and Youth Affairs Taj Muhammad Khan Tarand, former Sports Minister Syed Aqil Shah, Secretary Sports Zulfiqar Butt and DG Sports Tashfeen Haider welcomed the decision, describing it as an important opportunity to promote sports and highlight the province’s capabilities at an international level.
