MARDAN: The 19th Meeting of the Academic Council of Women University Mardan was held under the chairpersonship of the Honorable Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Razia Sultana, to deliberate on and approve key academic matters aimed at strengthening the University’s academic excellence.

The Council approved the introduction of a mandatory 3-credit hour Artificial Intelligence (AI) course and the Fehm-ul-Quran course across all degree programmes, along with Pakistan Studies as a compulsory subject in undergraduate programmes. It also approved the recommendations of the Boards of Studies under the Faculties of Science and Arts & Humanities and endorsed the launch of several new academic programmes to be offered in upcoming academic sessions.

The meeting concluded with the approval of various academic recommendations in accordance with Higher Education Commission (HEC) guidelines, reaffirming the University’s commitment to curriculum development, academic innovation, quality assurance, and excellence in higher education.

The meeting was attended by the Heads of Academic Departments, members of the Academic Council, and the Registrar.
