KHYBER: Combine emergency tackling exercises were carried out here in Sor Kamar hills of Jamrud district Khyber last day.

Organized by the Rescue 1122, officials of departments of forest, C&W, irrigation and the organizer participated in the day long rescue and relief drills.

Emergency Officer Muhammad Nauman Khan thoroughly briefed the participants’ of the aim and purpose of the initiative and highlighted the importance of joint efforts of the concerned department to provide relief in time of natural disaster.

He pointed out how available resources can be utilized in the best interest of the effectees with collective efforts of the concerned departments.

The participants’ were apprised of the modern techniques of rescue and relief in dealing incidents like landsliding, building collapse and medical aid etc.

In-charge Emergency Officer Muhammad Imtiaz Khan also examined the exercises and expressed professional abilities of the officials.
