TP REPORT
MARDAN: Women University Mardan proudly announces a landmark achievement as the first batch of M.Phil Chemistry students and the first M.Phil cohort of the University successfully defended their research theses during the viva voce examination held on 6th May 2026 at the Department of Chemistry.
The scholars completed their research under the supervision of Dr. Naila Zubair and Dr. Monnaza Serwar.
The Department of Chemistry extends heartfelt congratulations to the research scholars Ms. Sania Afzal, Ms. Samiya Bano, Ms. Hina Zarshed, Ms. Sana Tayyeb, Ms. Maria Bibi, Ms. Sheema Iqbal, Ms. Hina Bibi, and Ms. Ajmeena for their dedication, perseverance, and academic excellence.
The evaluation panel included Prof. Dr. Khalida Akhtar, Dr. Salma Gul from the National Centre of Excellence in Physical Chemistry, University of Peshawar, and Dr. Saira Arif from COMSATS University Islamabad, whose expert insights ensured a rigorous and enriching assessment process.
On this momentous occasion, Dr. Naila Zubair, Head of the Department of Chemistry, expressed sincere gratitude to Prof. Dr. Razia Sultana, Honorable Vice Chancellor, for her visionary leadership and unwavering support in fostering a vibrant research culture at the University.
A special note of thanks was extended to the distinguished guest, Emeritus Professor Dr. Rasul Jan, for gracing the occasion and offering valuable feedback, encouragement, and appreciation of the students’ scholarly work. Prof. Dr. Razia Sultana and Prof. Dr. Rasul Jan also commended the efforts of Dr. Naila Zubair for her exemplary leadership and commitment to strengthening research within the department.
The Department further acknowledged the support of the Director Academics, administrative staff, and faculty members for their continuous guidance and behind-the-scenes efforts in ensuring the smooth conduct of the viva voce examination.
This achievement marks a proud milestone for Women University Mardan and reflects its growing commitment to academic excellence and research advancement. The University looks forward to many more such accomplishments in the years ahead.
