KOHAT: An important consultative meeting was held with the Chamber of Commerce and representatives of the business community regarding the Eid-ul-Adha cleanliness campaign organized by WSSC Kohat. The meeting was chaired by Chairman Board and Acting Chief Executive Officer Muhammad Saad, while Member Board of Directors Rashid Paracha also attended.
The session reviewed in detail the sanitation arrangements for Eid, including timely garbage disposal and the strengthening of the city’s cleanliness system. Chairman Muhammad Saad stated that special sanitation teams would remain active in the field during all three days of Eid, while helpline 1334 would remain operational to address public complaints promptly. He added that waste would be collected immediately from designated central points to ensure public convenience.
Member Board Rashid Paracha proposed the distribution of biodegradable bags among traders, the formation of a coordination committee, and the scheduling of cleaning hours in urban areas. Participants and business representatives also suggested placing awareness banners in markets, issuing cleanliness guidelines for the public, and forming joint monitoring teams during Eid days.
The business community appreciated the initiatives of WSSC Kohat and assured full cooperation in maintaining cleanliness across the city. At the conclusion of the meeting, participants reiterated their commitment to keeping Kohat clean and promoting public awareness regarding sanitation.
The meeting was attended by prominent business leaders including Haji Abid Khan, Arshad Hayat, Rashid Sheikh, Baz Muhammad Khattak, Fayyaz Afridi, Mansoor Paracha, Farooq Khan, Qasim Paracha, Tariq Shafi Durrani, Hanif Raza, Adnan Pappu, Mohsin Naeem Paracha and others.
