PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Muhammad Ammad delivered an impressive performance to secure the runner-up position in the PSA Squash Championship, organized by the Pakistan Squash Federation and held in Lahore under the Gogi Alauddin PSA Squash Championship.
The tournament featured participation from over 100 players from across the country. In the final, Ammad faced seasoned player Tayyab Aslam of SNGPL, who clinched the title with a 3-1 victory.
Muhammad Ammad remained unbeaten throughout the championship until the final, showcasing exceptional form. He defeated Shahab Khan, Varun Asif, Abdullah Nadeem, and Azan Khan in successive rounds—all in straight games (3-0)—to book his place in the final.
The title clash proved to be a competitive encounter; however, Tayyab Aslam’s experience and composure ultimately secured him the championship.
Expressing satisfaction over his performance, Ammad thanked his coaches Tahir Iqbal and Faheem Gul, physical trainer Anees, Nasser Iqbal, President of the Provincial Association Qamar Zaman, along with the Pakistan Squash Federation, KP Squash Association, Minister for Sports, Director General Sports, and especially his father for their continuous support and encouragement.
