DERA ISMAIL KHAN: Agriculture University Dera Ismail Khan distributed laptops to 19 deserving students under the Prime Minister’s Youth Laptop Scheme 2024-25 (Phase IV) during a ceremony held on the special instructions of Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Muhammad Latif Gondal.
The event was supervised by Registrar Abdul Basit Khan, while Vice Chancellor of Gomal University, Prof. Dr. Naimatullah Babar, attended as the chief guest. Registrar Gomal University Imranullah Marwat, Controller of Examinations Muhammad Irfan Khan, Director Finance Iram Gul, Dr. Aftab Alam, faculty members, and a large number of students also attended.
Speaking on the occasion, Registrar Abdul Basit Khan said the Prime Minister’s Youth Laptop Scheme is a commendable initiative aimed at equipping students with modern technology to enhance education and research opportunities. He added that the university remains committed to providing quality education and advanced learning facilities to prepare students for national development.
Chief Guest Prof. Dr. Naimatullah Babar congratulated the recipients and said the scheme would strengthen students’ digital skills, creativity, and research capabilities. He urged them to make the best use of the laptops to excel academically and contribute positively to the country’s progress.
At the end of the ceremony, the chief guest, along with university officials, distributed laptops among the 19 selected students. Prof. Dr. Naimatullah Babar was also presented with a commemorative shield by Agriculture University Dera Ismail Khan in recognition of his participation.
