ISLAMABAD: The Wafaqi Mohtasib, Mr. Naveed Kamran Baloch has instructed the Officers and Staff members to intensify efforts for redressing public grievances relating to maladministration of the federal government agencies and departments adding that the general public should not suffer on account of their inefficiency.
He was addressing the Officers and Staff members on the eve of his visit to the Wafaqi Mohtasib Regional Offices located at Karachi, Hyderabad and Mirpur Khas today. He called upon them to ensure implementation of Wafaqi Mohtasib’s decisions in their true letter and spirit. He also urged them to pursue the Outreach Complaint Resolution (OCR) programme in a more organized, efficient and co-ordinated manner.
Earlier, he received a detailed briefing on the working of these Regional Offices. While at the Mirpur Khas office, he also inaugurated a new Conference Room established recently. The inaugural function was also attended by Mr. Hariram Kishori Lal, MPA from the minority community of Sindh.
Speaking on the occasion, the Wafaqi Mohtasib said that his office is in fact a poor man’s court devoted to resolution and redressal of public grievances particularly those belonging to the downtrodden and marginalized segments of the society. He expressed the resolve to provide speedy relief by expeditiously redressing public grievances relating to maladministration of the federal government entities. He also instructed to further improve the Informal Resolution of Disputes (IRD) programme while making it more practical and relief-oriented. He said that the programme is being revamped to make it more broad-based and effective.
